In short

RandomRecept uses no advertising cookies and sells nothing on. On your first visit we ask what is allowed, and you can change that choice at any time using the cookie button at the bottom left of every page.

Necessary, always on

  • Your cookie choice itself, so we do not have to ask again every visit.
  • Which ingredients you ticked off while cooking.

This is not a cookie but storage in your own browser. It stays on your device, we cannot reach it and it goes nowhere.

Statistics, only with your consent

If you switch this on, we may collect anonymous visitor numbers so we can see which recipes land well and which pages do not work properly. Switch it off, or choose "necessary only", and nothing is loaded and nothing is measured. The site works exactly the same either way.

For this we use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-ENNJBK120X). If you switch statistics on, Google places two cookies on your device:

  • _ga – tells visitors apart, stays for 2 years.
  • _ga_ENNJBK120X – remembers where you were in your visit, stays for 2 years.

We have your IP address truncated and personalised advertising switched off, so Google cannot tie these numbers to adverts. The data goes to Google Ireland Limited and is processed within the European Union. We only ever see totals: how many people came, which recipes they looked at and how they found us. Never who you are.

If you say no, Google’s script is not loaded at all and no cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time with the biscuit at the bottom left of the screen.

What we never do

  • No advertising cookies or social media pixels.
  • No building of profiles and no selling of data.
  • No third-party cookies without you saying yes to them.

Fonts

The fonts come from Google Fonts. No cookies are placed in the process, but your browser does make a request to Google in which your IP address is visible.

Managing it yourself

Change your choice through the cookie button at the bottom left. To wipe everything, use your browser settings under "clear browsing data". The site keeps working afterwards, it will simply ask again what is allowed.
